Men are bred to tell women what they think women want to hear. It starts early. Whether it's a fib to avoid their mother's chastisement, or omitting details in order to avoid making their girlfriend cry. Little boys become grown men, who say whatever they have to, in order to stay in the good graces of the opposite sex.
Men genuinely aren’t comfortable with unfiltered honesty due to the potential implications. I am not saying it's right, but it is what it is. Many men are more honest with women they don't have feelings for and lie to avoid hurting women they love. It's a twisted logic, but reality is often stranger than fiction.
Some of us are physically strong but are emotional weak. It takes courage to be honest. It takes a high level of integrity and morality to do the right thing in spite of the possibility that you might not get what you want out of the deal.
