There is an art and science to creating a safe space. It really lies in your "listening". So many people just want to be heard and very rarely do we, as people, offer the gift of being totally present for someone else. And doing so, with no judgement. Confession booths and psychiatrist chairs are some of the only places that we genuinely get to share our truth... and actually be heard.
One of the things I am really good at is creating spaces where people feel safe to say what is on their heart and mind. Ever since I was really young people would tell me their inner most fears, ask me for advice and tell how inspiring I was to them. For a long time I didn't know what to make of it. But as I got older I began to realize, that it was my gift.
We all have gifts, talents and abilities that are God given. We often overlook them because they come so easy. Pay attention to the things that come naturally to you and hone them. Then share them with the world.
